Enables The YouTube Redesign

If you've been visiting YouTube in recent days, chances are you've noticed some major changes to its interface. We found almost a restructuring of the site, with particular emphasis on subscriptions and connections to social networks, basically, Facebook and Google +. It is a gradual release, so you should wait several days to access this interface, but if you feel you can not wait, here we offer you a little trick.

There are winds of change for YouTube, and if we consider that the vast majority of Google services are getting "adjustments" to clean interfaces and provide an experience more in line with what we find in their social network, it is no surprise. In general, changes in YouTube interface have been more subtle in recent times, mainly focusing on adding new features, but now the story is different. The basic operation of YouTube has not been altered, although the new "social focus" is a little different to what we were accustomed. As expected, Google + is in the center of the equation, and to the YouTube logo changed color, adopting (which to me seems) a slightly darker red.

The first thing to notice is the addition of a control panel to the left of the screen, with all subscriptions we have made. Clicking on them gives us the latest which was published in that channel, though this is often not entirely accurate (channel activity seen in the last week, which has not been reported). The player himself has received settings, but their use is not yet fully defined. If viewing video outside of a channel you will see the new design, but within a player returns to the conventional channel. There is a nod both to Google + Facebook, in order to facilitate the process of sharing videos, while a click on "Add Videos" channel will feature a series of recommendations based on your history of reproduction. Of course, to take full advantage of the new interface to browse YouTube you need to login.

As they usually does Google, the launch of the new YouTube interface is gradual, and will be tested for a while. However, forcing the new interface is pretty easy. You only need to go to YouTube, open the developer console in your browser (Ctrl + Shift + K in Firefox, Ctrl + Shift + J in Chrome), and paste the following string: document.cookie = "VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE = ST1Ti53r4fU" (including point and end point). Press Enter, do a full recharge of YouTube (Ctrl + F5), and that is all. Eventually, this code will not need to see the new interface, but not bad to have early access to get used.
